This is a Blog.

Introduction

This is me. Natalie Davis Green, 23 years old. I think I was like 37 weeks pregnant here. Going for a Sunday hike with the Davis clan.

For some reason I had the hardest time starting a blog.  There are a few possible explanations.   1. I'm a procrastinator..  2. I was too busy (and inpatient) to figure things out on blogger. 3. I was afraid that I would have nothing interesting to write about, and that my blog would be lame and cheesy.
So I've been doing some blog surfing--not really for research, but for my own personal enjoyment/boredom remedy, and I've decided that I just don't care.  The blogs I love the most are about people's everyday lives, with proof of pictures of the food they ate or the places they visited or the faces their babies pulled. Putting my self -conscious little self out on the internet for all to see (okay, maybe just friends and family) doesn't matter as long as I get my memories and thoughts written down.  In conclusion, this blog will basically be my journal/ scrapbook/letters to those I love.  I especially want to start this blog for my sweet wiggly little babe, Scarlett, and her future siblings to come. Oh and for Grandmas Maureen and Janet to keep them satisfied with grandbaby updates and pictures.

So read on, blog visitor, if you would like to read about the lame and cheesy stuff that goes on in my little family's lives. Here's some stuff about Natalie:
I have a family and I love them. Let's start with my best friend, biggest fan, man of my dreams, Brian James Green.
Brian loves to bike. You could say I helped him discover this passion. Salt to Saint 2012.
He is a handsome devil with long hair. At a BBQ we weren't really invited to. Weber State, 2011.

Brian and I in Panguitch, UT. Visiting for my Lab Practicum, August 2012. I was pregnant here, and we didn't know it yet :)

Brian is smart.  He's loved Chemistry ever since Mr. Cruff (Cruff-dawg) introduced him his sophomore year of high school, and he's loved math and science even longer. He is planning on earning a PhD in Chemical Engineering. His nerd-dom is so attractive.
Brian loves music.  He's been to many a concert and loves to find cool new tunes, but he also has a love for classical music.  I don't know if that comes from his junior high band days (he plays the saxophone) or his obsession with Lord of the Rings soundtrack, movies, and books.
Brian is funny and incredibly likeable.  This can sometimes be annoying, because he is always his boss's favorite employee, teacher's favorite student, parent's favorite son (with the exception of Jeffy of course), etc.  He doesn't even suck up, that much.
I had a crush on Brian before we met, and after, of course. His first words to introduce himself were, "Hey Natalie, scratch my back." I was embarrassed and giddy, like I was most of the time as a 16-year-old girl. But that's a story for another time.
            I really really love him.
And now for the newest addition to our family. Scarlett Claire Green, born on April 28th, 2013 is our first daughter
I was so proud of all her newborn hair.  And her round face. And her squinty little eyes, and big feet, and skinny little chicken legs, and everything about her.
We had her first photo shoot with my talented friend, Jamie Heslop. She just had her own baby, Miles, 5 weeks before.
I love her.

Scarlett loves to squirm. She did inside the womb and out.  She also gets crazy wicked hiccups, poor thing. She's not one to cry, she just sort of whimpers to get your attention when its time to eat or when she's craving a Binky bite or wants to snuggle.
She is also a loud eater.  Brian's pet peeve happens to be people with loud eating habits. Ironic.  Maybe this will help him overcome that, because when Scarlett does it, it's cute.
My favorite thing in the world is to watch her poop. It's inspiring to see her accomplish a good release when she is clearly working so hard.  And its HIL-ARIOUS.
Scarlett loves attention and she loves her dad. Like I said, who doesn't?
