Easter Sunday was lovely here in Iowa City. All the babies in the ward looked so springly and sweet in their pastel Easter apparel, and we enjoyed a scrumptious dinner that evening with friends. It was a wonderful weekend to reflect on Christ's life, death, and resurrection and remember what he did and does for us; it reminded me why I am a follower of Christ.
Scarlett looked like an adorable cupcake--and whenever I looked at her I said, "Awwwww" on the inside. Sometimes that stinker is so cute I clench my fists, growl, and grit my teeth until I have to tickle attack her and smoosh her face with kisses. Sort of a weird reaction, I know.
While I was preparing some lemon bars for the get-together, I pushed baby and Brian out of the house to snap some cute cliché Easter-Egg-Hunt pics. Cliché, but teeth gritting adorable to my mom-eyes.
Here are some pictures from the neighbor Easter egg hunt for our apartments. Scarlett didn't find one egg. I was sad for her, but she did not care in the slightest. She was just interesting in eating the wood-chips and pinecones and following the candy-crazed big kids around. Oh and we played on the jungle gym.
