The day before Valentine's Day I made a little heart scavenger hunt for Scarlett. It was a big hit; she's asked me for treasure hunts since. Maybe we'll repeat for Easter, which is half a week away. I am so behind on our lives because we have hit our trillionth sickness and Brian is presenting his Comps Exam tomorrow so we are in survival mode. Any time spent not sleeping when the girls are sleeping is considered a poor use of time. Alice is NOT sleeping well, and Scarlett has woken up the last two nights with a request to blow a nose or change her wet sheets (sarcastic yeaaaaay). Someday I'll look back on these times and be grateful that that's the only thing that kept me up at night. Right?
Scarlett had to find little hearts with clues around the house.
Dad helped with the reading.
There was a slight intermission to the hunt here, when Scarlett and Brian broke into song and dance. It got too cute to just take still pictures, so I recorded the rest on my phone:
After the hunt we all sat around and played with our toys and ate old Halloween candy! Nobody even noticed.
Brian and I enjoyed a kid free date on Friday. Sunday was actually Feb 14th, so I dressed the girls up accordingly and I wore red lipstick. Brian honored my request for a photo shoot.
A few days later Scarlett decided to take a few pictures of me. I think she did great! She didn't break the camera.
