Christmas/ New Year's 2019

I coached a class Christmas Eve morning. We played all Christmas music and I had a prizes for the top Myzone Point earners.  This group of people always has a good time.
Christmas bike ride as soon as I got home.

 Christmas Eve after Santa came.
Scarlett got piano books, she's been wanting to learn for awhile, Alice got a necklace making kit and chocolate milk (her favorite) and Eleanor got a bouncy bumble bee.

Christmas morning.
Neighbor's cute Olaf setup, with the girls in their swim suits for a night swim.
Brian and I went to a Mario themed birthday party.  We got there on time which apparently was super early before there was food, and left when people started arriving.  We ate a couple nachos then filled our bellies with our favorite Potato balls and pastries from Porto's.

For New Year's, we took a trip to San Diego. We stayed in  quiet beach town called La Jolla. We loved our location.
First lunch.  Yummy sandwich shop.
We got there with hardly any traffic, which was an unexpected relief.  We went on a beautiful hike at Torrey Pines.

And ended up on a rocky beach.

While waiting for our Mexican takeout, the restless girls and I went our for some FroYo down the street.
The next day we took the girls to play at the Fleet Science Center. They had a whole floor dedicated to kids, It was pretty fun.

We watched a move about a turtle's life on a big dome screen.

In the afternoon we went to the San Diego Zoo. It was a really big zoo and we particularly enjoyed the double decker bus tour and the ski-lift with Dad across the park.

On our last day after hotel checkout, we visited Lego Land for the first time.  We were big fans of the small kid zone, not so much of the long lines for rides.

We left before the big New Year's Eve fireworks show and we had no regrtets about it.

Our first ride, Ninjago was over an hour wait but at least there were lego dudes to hug.

Eating ice cream in the sandbox and playing with these oversized legos was fun for the little ones while Scarlett and Dad went on a roller coaster.

On New Year's Day we took it easy and went for a swim at our house.  This is our favorite thing to do at home.
